Our Program
Located on a beautiful acreage south of Leduc, Alberta, Canada. Here we have horses, chickens, cows, goats and our amazing Standard Australian Shepherds. I’ve worked hard bringing in pedigrees that are the heart of the Australian Shepherd history- I’ve researched the old lines and have travelled to North Carolina, Washington, Kentucky and Arizona just to name a few- I’ve done the research so you don’t have to! There is not many breeders in Canada who work hard at preserving the old, original lines of the Aussie! I’m one of them!
With years of effort my #1 goal is to raise quality Aussies that excel in companionship, and health. To preserve the original Aussie. Breeding to the standards to produce a better dog each time as well as an exceptional partner in agility/herding on the farm and part of the family.
Originally bred for herding - the Australian shepherd has become one of the most popular companion dog breeds today.
We breed for personality, activity level, work ethic and to have a strong bond with their owners- highly sensitive and easy to train to perform daily tasks, do tricks and follow commands. Our dogs are hard working, intelligent and versatile. They excel on farms, in the agility ring, active families, therapy dogs, search and rescue and the best family companions.

We spend lots of time riding in the mountains with our dogs- as well as herding and agility. First and foremost, our dogs are family companions- and the best around our 3 young kids! Our dogs enjoy 10 acres of fenced property on our farm!
Our ONLY focus at Summit Acres is STANDARD Australian Shepherds- all Registered with CKC and some with multiple registrations - AKC and ASCA

I grew up with dogs -breeding and conformation. -and now I'm living my dream! My kids are a little older, I've been in my career for 20 years as a paramedic and live the best life on our little hobby farm- I'm dedicated in producing healthy, amazing companions, agility-sport as well as herding focused Aussies that your family can enjoy and bring into your family and farm. I have searched pedigrees and travelled over 4000k to bring the best bloodlines into our program. Coming from all over the USA and Canada. Standing apart from other breeders- Summit Acres produces the "True Aussie" Preserving some of the best and old bloodlines you will find.
All of our dogs go through extensive medical testing- DNA testing as well as behavior testing before they are officially added to our program.
